Duco, artist, was a graphic designer and you can see that reflecting in his paintings. Inspired by Mondriaan, Rietveld and Lissitzky he made a study of geometric shapes, lines and fields, playing with primary and secondary colors. He explored this further with a grid with depth and light, curved lines and dynamic fields in different layers. The different paint types let the painting change when the light changes. Finally, in his fundamental way, he added human expression, creating a powerful image with hard lines, bright colors and strong contrasts. He also makes confronting drawings. With only a pencil he can sketch a powerful image.
He is also a music lover and he’s producing great compositions.
